SIUH/NYSNA NP Negotiation Update – April 14, 2021

Yesterday, Staten Island University Hospital met virtually with the New York State Nurses Association for our 20th negotiation session.  

It was a collaborative and productive session as we moved from agreement in principle on two important topics — work schedules and the hiring process — to reaching tentative agreements on both. We appreciate the union continuing to recognize the fundamental differences between the roles of NPs and RNs. We believe the parties are advancing in the right direction, and we hope to maintain this momentum at our next negotiation session on April 30.
