SIUH/NYSNA NP Negotiation Update – December 3, 2020

Yesterday, Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH) and the New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA) met virtually for our 11th negotiation session.

The session was abbreviated to a half day in order to provide the opportunity for the hospital to continue its planning toward establishing an exclusive SIUH team member and family member COVID-19 testing center. While this development represents a convenient new benefit for our employees, the shortened session limited the amount of progress we were able to make. Still, we did continue the dialogue on a number of non-economic items, and we are eager to make further progress at our next negotiation session on Dec. 18.
