SIUH/NYSNA NP Negotiation Update – December 21, 2020

This past Friday, Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH) met virtually with the New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA) for our 12th negotiation session. 

Both parties engaged in a fair and constructive dialogue throughout the session. While we were able to solidify two tentative agreements on educational staff development and HR file maintenance related to progressive discipline, we were unable to reach agreement regarding per diem usage. Nonetheless, our two tentative agreements helped advance these negotiations in the right direction, and we are hopeful that we can carry the momentum into our next session on Jan. 5.
